Hello amigurumi lovers and beautiful visitors, I wanted to share the free amigurumi patterns for you here. In my article I will share 1 pattern and how to make it for you. At the end of my article, I will share amigurumi patterns that can generate ideas for you.

Head
From natural yarn.
Rd 1: 6 ms in MR. (6)
Rd 2: inc x 6 (12)
Rd 3: (1 sc, inc) x 6 (18)
Rd 4: 18 sc (18)

Switch color in mint for the next 2 rounds but do not cut the natural thread!
Rd 6: BLO – 24 sc (24)

Change color to natural and cut mint yarn.
Rd 8: BLO – 24 sc (24)
Rd 9 – 14: 24 sc (24)
We’ll finish the mask trim first, so we can insert the safety eyes, then continue with the body.
Lower mask trim
In mint yarn, hold the head upside down. Insert your hook into the first front loop of round 7 and continue the next round:
FLO – 6 sl st, (1 sc, 3 hdc in next stitch, 1 sc, 6 sl st) x 2 (28)
Cut yarn, fasten and leave a long tail for sewing. Using the yarn tail, sew a few stitches to attach the curved detail of the eye mask to the head (see image 1).
Top Mask Trimming
In mint yarn hold post stitches between rounds 5 and 6 (24)
Cut the yarn, tie and weave the ends.
Insert s-eyes upside down and insert your hook into the first post stitch between rounds 5 & 6 (see image 2): 24 sl sts
in the safety between rounds 6 & 7, above the stitch in which you have made the 3 hdc’s for the bottom mask trim (see image 1).
Body
Let’s continue with the body.
Rd 15: FLO – (3 sc, inc) x 6 (30)
Rd 16: 30 sc (30)
Firmly stuff the head and continue stuffing the body as you go.
Locate the middle of the body in the back and mark with a stitch marker, this will be our new starting point for the next round – (I crocheted 2 more stitches to center):
Rd 17: 1 sc, inc, (2 sc, inc) x 2, 14 sc, (inc, 2 sc) x 2, inc, 1 sc (36)
Chain 7, starting at the 2nd loop from the hook, continue subsequent rounds as we begin to make tail. The first stitch of the next round will be our new starting point, mark with a marker:

Cut the yarn, tie off and leave a long tail for sewing. Firmly stuff the body and weave the yarn under the front loops and pull tight to close. Use the thread tail to sew all the holes closed created by the tail chain stitches.
The beak
In mustard yarn.

Cut yarn, tie off and leave a long tail for sewing. Stuff firmly.
Legs x 2
In mustard yarn.
Rd 1: 6 ms in MR. (6)
Rd 2: BLO – 6 sc (6)
Rd 3 – 8: 6 sc (6)
Cut the yarn, tie off and leave a long tail for sewing. Firmly fill the leg.
With the leg opening down, tie the natural yarn in the first front loop of round 1 and continue on subsequent rounds to create the top of the legs.
Row 1: (1 sc, inc) x 3 (9)
Row 2: (2 sc, inc) x 3 (12)
Cut the yarn and leave a long tail for sewing.
Legs x 2
In mustard yarn.
Rd 1: 6 ms in MR. (6)
Rd 2: (2 sc, inc) x 2 (8)

Flatten with the increase stitches in the middle to create a slight curve and crochet a few more stitches until you reach the side of the foot (see picture 4 – I crocheted 3 more sc). Work through both loops to close:
Chain 1, 3 hdc in first stitch, 2 sl st, 3 hdc in next stitch, 2 sl st, 3 hdc in next stitch, sl st in last stitch.
Cut the thread, tie and weave at the end.
Wings x 2
Start with light grey.
Rd 1: 6 ms in MR. (6)
Rd 2: inc x 6 (12)

Change the color to dark gray. Cut the light gray yarn.
Rd 10: BLO – 12 sc (12)

Cut the yarn, tie and leave a long tail for the sewing. Weave the yarn under the front loops and pull tight to close. Flatten the wing and weave the yarn tail through the wing and somewhere at the back to sew to the body later.
Tail
In dark gray yarn. Chain 7, sl st in 1st chain to create a loop, chain 8 and sl st in 1st chain again.
Cut the thread, tie off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Tie Mask
In Mint Yarn. Chain 9, sl st in 1st chain stitch to create a loop, chain 9 and sl st in 1st chain again (see picture 5).
Cut the thread, tie off and leave a long tail for sewing.
Cap
In green thread of water. Chain 15, starting with 2nd chain from hook:
Row 1: 1 sc, (inc) x 12, 1 sc, 1 ch and turn (26) Row
2: 26 sc, 1 ch and turn (26)
Row 3: (1 sc, inc) x 13, ch 1 and turn (39)
Row 4 – 9: 39 sc, ch 1 and turn (39)
Skip 1 ch for last row. Cut the thread, tie and weave the ends.
We will now finish the cape by creating a border and the ties. Right side up, with the collar towards you, tie the sea green thread to the first row from the right side (see image 6):
1 sc in each row (8), in the last stitch BLO – 1 sc, 1 ch, 1 sc to create the corner. Continue along the bottom edge by working BLO – 1 sc in each stitch and another BLO – 1 sc, ch 1, 1 sc in the last stitch. 1 sc in each row (8).
Chain 19, starting with 2nd chain from hook, 18 sl sts. Continue to crochet 1 sc along the collar starting chain (14). Chain 19, starting with the 2nd chain from the hook, 18 sl sts and sl sts in the starting stitch to finish.
Cut the thread, tie and weave the ends.
Assembly
• Sew the beak to the head on rounds 7 to 9.
• Sew the legs to the feet on rounds 2 – 3.
• Leave the upper part of the leg unstuffed and sew to the lower body on each side on rounds 26 to 28 , if you do standing Calypso. Sew the CR to the front of the body on rounds 22-24 (about 1-2 stitches apart), if you are doing Calypso in a seated position.
• Sew the wings to the sides of the body on rounds 17 to 23.
• Sew the tail to the end of the body.
• Using black yarn, insert your needle through the back of the head and come out 2 stitches from the eye between rounds 6 and 7. Wrap the yarn around the eye and reinsert your needle into the same stitch. Tuck the line under the safety eyelet by pulling gently. Tie a knot at the back to secure and weave the ends.
• Using yarn or salmon thread, sew a line or two under the eye, 2 stitches long to create a blush.
• Sew the mask tie in the middle of the back of the head between rounds 6 and 7.
• Tie the cape on Calypso with an overhand knot.
