Amigurumi Crochet Orange Rattle Pattern

Hello amigurumi lovers and beautiful visitors, I wanted to share free amigurumi models with you here. In my article, I will share with you a model and how to make it. At the end of my article, I will share with you the detailed construction patterns of the mold.


Materials and Tools

• YarnArt Jeans, 55% cotton, 45% acrylic: 160m/ 50gr
– Color 82 olive green for the leaf and stem
• Alize Cotton Gold, 55% cotton, 45% acrylic; 330m/50gr
– Color 83 pumpkin for the half of the orange
– Color 55 white or 62 milk white for the segments
• Alize Cotton Baby Soft, 50% cotton, 50% acrylic; 170m/100gr
– Color 37 orange for the orange peel
• Crochet hook that is convenient for you when using this kind of yarn (I used 2,5mm hook)
• Needles for sewing
• Wooden ring 5,5-6 cm in diameter
• Scissors
• Safety pins
• Stuffing (holofiber or any synthetic material)
• A rattle

Abbreviations

Ch– chain
MR– magic circle
Sc– single crochet
Inc– increase (crochet 2st in one stitch)
Dec– decrease (crochet 2st together)
(…) – the figure inside the parenthesis equals the number of stitches in the round
x – repeat the instruction x times

Half Of The Orange

Start with white or milk white yarn:

Continue with yarn Alize Cotton Gold no 83 pumpkin orange:

Rnd 3. (inc, 1sc) x 8 times (24)
Rnd 4. (2sc, inc) x 8 times (32)

Rnd 6. 2sc, (inc, 4sc) x 7 times, inc, 2sc (48)
Rnd 7. 1sc, (inc, 5sc) x 7 times, inc, 4sc (56)
Rnd 8. (inc, 6sc) x 8 times (64)
Change the thread to white or milk white
Rnd 9. 64sc (64)
Change the thread to yarn Alize Cotton Baby no 37 orange

Cut the thread and hide yarn tail inside the half of the orange

Cut the thread, hide yarn tail inside the peel of the orange half.

Rnd 5. (inc, 3sc) x 6 times (30)

Rnd 9-18. (10 rounds): 48sc (48)

Stuff your orange at this point, and put the rattle inside. I recommend to stuff the head as
tight as possible.

The number of rounds for the stem is approimate, plase take into account the thickness of your ring and density of your crochet fabric; from time to time fix the stem with the leaf on the ring as shown in the assembly section.
