Hello amigurumi lovers and beautiful visitors, I wanted to share the free amigurumi patterns for you here. In my article I will share 1 pattern and how to make it for you. At the end of my article, I will share amigurumi patterns that can generate ideas for you.
Skill level: Advanced
Crochet hook: 3.5 mm (US size E5)
Materials: A bit of black yarn for the eyes, toy stuffing for the head, arms, legs and horn
Yarn: Rainbow Cotton 8/8
White (#001) – 3 skeins
Light Coral (#050) – 1 skein
Baby Blue (#032) – 1 skein
Pastel Yellow (#053) – 1 skein
Grey (#015) – 1 skein
Abbreviations:
Sc = Single crochet
Sl st = Slip stitch
Mr = Magic ring
Stm = Double crochet
( ) = repeat number in bracket
Inc = Increase
Dec = Decrease
Rnd = Rounds
(xx) bracket at the end of the round= the number of stitches after finished round
Ch = Chain stitch
Pattern info:
All parts are worked in a spiral, except the roses.
Tips:
Stuff the head firmly.
Work as tight as possible to avoid holes in between the stitches.

Bind off.
Pull and stretch the body in shape, as it will be a bit firm a first. It must be a bit longitudinal.
Head:
With White

Don’t forget to stuff the head firmly as you go.

Cut the yarn but leave a long end to close the last 9 sc. Using a needle, pull yarn end through each of the 9 loops on the outside. Pull to close and fasten thread.
Legs:
With Light Coral. Make 4 pcs.
Rnd 1: work 6 sc in mr.
Rnd 2: inc 6 times (12)
Rnd 3: 1 sc, inc. Repeat 6 times (18)
Rnd 4: 2 sc, inc. Repeat 6 times (24)
Rnd 5-7: work 24 sc for a total of 3 rounds
Rnd 8: 2 sc dec. Repeat 6 times (18)
Change to White
Rnd 9-10: work 18 sc for a total of 2 rounds
Rnd 11: 4 sc, dec. Repeat 3 times (15)
Rnd 12-26: work 15 sc for a total of 15 rounds
Cut the yarn but leave a long end for assembly.
Stuff the hoofs firmly and the rest of the leg a bit more loosely.
Sew or crochet the legs on to the corners of the main piece as shown.
Ensure that the seam is invisible and neatly hidden on the inside.
Horn:
With White
Rnd 1: 3 sc in mr.
Rnd 2: inc 3 times (6)
Rnd 3: 1 sc, inc. Repeat 3 times (9)
Rnd 4-8: 9 sc, 1 sl st a total of 5 rounds
Cut the yarn but leave a long end for assembly.
Roses:
Make 4 pcs in 4 different pastel colors.
Rnd 1: ch 26
Rnd 2: start in 2
nd ch and work 24 hdc, 1 sl st
Cut the yarn but leave a long end for assembly.
Now roll it together to make the rose.
Ears:
With White. Make 2 pcs.
Rnd 1: 3 sc in mr.
Rnd 2: inc 3 times (6)
Rnd 3: 1 sc, inc. Repeat 3 times (9)
Rnd 4: 2 sc, inc. Repeat 3 times (12)
Rnd 5-8: work 12 sc a total of 4 rounds
Rnd 9: 2 sc, dec. Repeat 3 times (9)
Rnd 10: 1 sc, dec. Repeat 3 times (6)
Cut the yarn but leave a long end for assembly.
Tail:
Cut 3 strands of each color (3 x Light Coral, 3 x delicate yellow and 3 x baby blue). Each strand should be around 45 cm long. Pull the treads through 5 sc in the middle of the back of the unicorn. Now make a braid and tie a knot at the end.
Star:
With Light Coral
The base is worked in a spiral, each point is worked back and forth.
Rnd 1: work 10 sc in mr.
Rnd 2: inc 10 times (20)
Rnd 3: 3 sc, inc. Repeat 5 times (25)
Rnd 4: now we work the 1 st tip on the star: 4 sc, ch 1, turn.
Skip the first stitch, 3 sc, ch 1, turn.
Skip the first stitch, 2 sc, ch 1, turn.
Skip the first stitch, ch 1, bind off.
Repeat rnd. 4 to work the other tips on the star.
Attach yarn for 2 nd tip at the increase on round 3, don’t forget that this stitch DOESN’T count as a sc. Now work 4 sc, ch 1, turn and repeat.
When all tips are worked, work 1 round single crochet around the star, work 2 sc on each tip.
Bind off and sew the star on the body of the unicorn.
Assembly:
· Sew the horn on round 17-19, count from the snout.
· The eyes are embroidered on round 10-11 with 5 sc in between. The eye itself is embroidered over 4 sc in an oblique line.
· The ears are sewn on round 17 in line with the horn, you need to have 6 sc in between horn and ear.
· Sew the roses around the horn.
· The two crocheted pieces for the body are placed with the right sides facing each other and crocheted or sewn together. Leave a hole of approx. 11 sc at the top where it is to be turned inside out and where the head is to be sewn on. Then turn inside out.
· Sew the star to the body close to the right hind leg.
· Crochet the head firmly to the top of the body at center front. It is crocheted over approx. 10 sc on round 18 of the head. Crochet under the head.
