Toy Sheep Amigurumi Free Crochet Pattern

Hello amigurumi lovers and beautiful visitors, I wanted to share the free amigurumi patterns for you here. In my article I will share 1 pattern and how to make it for you. At the end of my article, I will share amigurumi patterns that can generate ideas for you.


Materials

Worsted Weight Yarn in the following colors
Cream (I used Loops & Threads Impeccable in Aran) or
Grey (I used Loops & Threads Impeccable in Pale Gray) or
Brown (I used Loops & Threads Impeccable in Soft Taupe)
Eyelash Yarn (I used Bernat Pipsqueak in Whitey White)
4.0 mm Crochet Hook
Safety Eyes (I used 6.0 mm)
Poly-fil or any Polyester Stuffing of your choice
Yarn Needle
Stitch Markers
Scissors

Stitches & Abbreviations

sc – single crochet
st/sts – stitch/stitches
sc inc – single crochet increase, 2 single crochet in one stitch
sc dec – single crochet decrease, single crochet 2 stitches together
BLO – back loop only

Head

Using a 4.0 mm crochet hook and worsted weight yarn in the color of
your choice…
Round 1: Magic Ring with a base of 8 sc (8 sts)
Round 2: sc inc in each st around (16 sts)
Round 3: [sc, sc inc] x 8 times (24 sts)
Round 4: [2 sc, sc inc] x 8 times (32 sts)
Round 5: [3 sc, sc inc] x 8 times (40 sts)
Round 6: [4 sc, sc inc] x 8 times (48 sts)
Round 7-16: sc in each st around (48 sts)
Round 17: [4 sc, sc dec] x 8 times (40 sts)
Round 18: [3 sc, sc dec] x 8 times (32 sts)
Change to furry yarn…
Round 19: sc in each st around (32 sts)
Round 20: [2 sc, sc dec] x 8 times (24 sts)
Round 21: [sc, sc dec] x 8 times (16 sts)
Round 22: sc dec in each st around (8 sts)
Remember to stuff and add safety eyes before closing!

Ears (X2)

Using worsted weight yarn…
Round 1: ch 7, sc in the second chain from the hook, sc in the next 5
sts.
Now working on the other side of the chain, sc in the next 6 sts (12
sts), do not join, continue to work in rounds.
Round 2-8: sc in each st around (12 sts)
Fasten off leaving a tail. Fold in half and sew close together, then sew
onto the head where the fur and the worsted weight yarn meet.

Body

Using a 4.0 mm crochet hook and furry yarn…
Round 1: Magic ring with a base of 8 sc (8 sts)
Round 2: sc inc in each st, repeat 8 times (16 sts)
Round 3: [sc inc, sc ], x 8 times (24 sts)
Round 4: [sc inc, 2 sc], x 8 times (32 sts)
Round 5-13: sc in each st around (32 sts)
Round 14: [sc dec, 2 sc], x 8 times (24 sts)
Round 15: [sc dec, sc], x 8 times (16 sts)
Fill with polyester stuffing…
Round 16: sc dec in each st around (8 sts)
Fasten off leaving a long tail to sew the head and body together.

Legs (X4):

Using worsted weight yarn…
Round 1: Magic ring with a base of 10 sc (10 sts)
Round 2: sc inc in each st around (20 sts)
Round 3: sc BLO in each st around (20 sts)
Round 4: sc in each st around (20 sts)
Round 5-8: sc in each st around (20 sts)
Round 9: [8 sc, sc dec] x 2 times (18 sts)
Round 10: [7 sc, sc dec] x 2 times (16 sts)
Round 11: [6 sc, sc dec] x 2 times (14 sts)
Round 12: [5 sc, sc dec] x 2 times (12 sts)
Fasten off leaving a tail. Stuff, then fold in half and sew together. Then
sew it onto the body.
The assembly is pretty straightforward.
