What you will need:

in rotating rows 8 hdc a piece 16 cm long, sew the edges, also sew in the middle and you get a butterfly.

Assembling a knitted hippopotamus toy
1. Sew the head to the body.
2. Sew the arms to the body, stepping back 2-3 rows from the head.
3. Sew the ears to the head between 6-7 rows.
4. Eyes between 8 and 9 rows at a distance of 6 sc.
5. Sew the muzzle between rows 9 and 17 of the head.
6. Sew the tail to the body from the back on the 6-7th row.
7. If desired, decorate the tummy with fabric and tie a bow.
