Next. – next (loop)
p –
SS loop – connecting post
*…* – repeat from asterisk to asterisk the specified number of times

Note: VP at the beginning of each row counts as 1 hdc for that row.

At the beginning of each row, up to the 6th row inclusive, cast on 2 VP lifts and knit 1 hdc in the same stitch. Complete each row with a sl st in the second VP lift of the previous row.

Row 1 – Take a 6 mm hook, black yarn and cast on 2 ch. 7 hdc in the first stitch cast on. The total number of stitches is 8.
Row 2 – 2 hdc in each stitch in the round. The total number of loops is 16.
Row 3 – *1 hdc in one stitch, 2 hdc in the next stitch. p* – repeat in a circle. The total number of loops is 24.
Row 4 – *1 hdc in the next row. 2 p, 2 hdc in next. p* – repeat in a circle. The total number of loops is 32.
Row 5 – *1 hdc in the next row. 3 sts, 2 hdc next. p* – repeat in a circle. The total number of loops is 40.
Row 6 – *1 hdc in the next row. 2 p, 2 hdc in next. p* – repeat in a circle. The total number of loops is 53.
Row 7-10 – 2 VP, 1 hdc in each st in a circle.
11-14 row– Attach a pink thread. 2 VP, 1 hdc in each st in a circle.
15th row – 2 VP, next. 35 sts of 1 hdc. (Note: We start knitting the back of the hat and the ears of the hat).
16th row – 2 VP, next. 35 sts of 1 hdc. Do not cut the thread; knit the left ear of the hat at this point.

Ears of the hat
Continue knitting the left ear of the hat with the same thread, and for the right ear, attach a pink thread to the last loop of the 16th row, parallel to the left ear of the hat.
1st row – 1 VP, 1 decrease in PSN, next. 6 sts for 1 hdc, 1 decrease hdc.
2nd row – 1 VP, 1 decrease in PSN, next. 4 sts, 1 hdc, 1 hdc decrease.
3rd row – 1 VP, 1 decrease in PSN, next. 2 sts, 1 hdc, 1 hdc decrease.
4th row – 1 VP, 2 decreases in PSN. Cut the thread and thread the remaining tail.

Ears
At the beginning of each row, cast on 2 VP lifts and knit 1 hdc in the same stitch. Complete each row with a SS in the second VP lift of the previous row.
Row 1 – Take a 5mm hook and charcoal yarn, cast on 2 ch. 7 PSN in the first VP dialed. The total number of loops is 8.
Row 2 – 2 hdc in each st in a circle.
Repeat the knitting pattern twice, for two ears.
Take a chenille needle and sew both ears onto the top of the hat at the same distance from each other.
Cut the thread and thread the remaining tail.

Bow
Take a 5 mm hook and pink yarn, cast on 40 VP.
Row 1 – 2 ch, skip 2 stitches from hook, 1 hdc in each stitch to end of row.
Rows 2-8 – 2 ch, 1 hdc in each st until the end of the row.

Using a sl st stitch the two ends of the resulting rectangle are sewn together. Turn the seam back and cut the thread, leaving at least 55 inches (140 cm) of thread in order to wrap the thread in the middle of the rectangle (you will get a bow). To form a bow, you need to wrap the thread tightly around the strip about 15 times and secure the knot at the back of the bow.

Take a chenille needle and sew a bow into the center of the top of the hat. Cut the thread and thread the remaining tail.
Take 6 white buttons, white thread and a large eye needle and sew the buttons onto the bow at different distances from each other. The bow will have a polka dot pattern.

Braided braids
Take yarn of black, white and pink colors and cut 9 threads of yarn (3 pieces of each color), 75 cm long. Fasten the threads to the left ear of the hat, braid the threads into a tight braid of any suitable length, at the end make a knot and trim the remaining length of threads. Repeat the same pattern for the braid on the right ear of the hat.
